I pulled this coin out of a new paper wrapped mint roll. Before I go through any roll I always do an inspection of the coins from the edge side when first broke open. This coin stood out immediately amongst the others. Look at the black blotchy texture of the coin with its different finish from a normal coin. Look above the date on the reverse side were theres no texture and its fully black. Going to get this coin slabbed one day and might make a MS67. The minting prosses has been discussed in previous post.

Wow that's a cool find..best of luck with the grade.

Side note... I went through 50 dollars worth of quarters today and within those rolls was 1 foreign coin..Consequentially it was that type.(2005 Alberta)..strange...

No need to xray it. Thanks to SPP that researched this if I recall is the coins got cooked longer in the dryers under heat. This coin could have went through twice. The detail on the wooden derrick is like a oil slick from a blowout.
