Im sure most of you glance around vending machines or etc.. to see if any change laying around. I do too and I usually find some coins quarters etc.... Well anyways I got lucky a while ago when getting a pop. I looked down and noticed a quarter under vending machine. Then I noticed a dime with no clad underneath the machine. So here I am laying on the ground reaching for this dime hoping it wasnt foreign and people walking by looking at me weird lol. I grabbed it looked at it and eyes opened wide sure enough it was silver. It was a 1953 franklin . I will say it was definitely unusual to find a silver dime under vending machine lol. So all in all 15 dollars for gas, 10 dollars for game, 1.50 for pop, and a silver dime. The look on my face (priceless)

The most unusual thing would be a 1953 Franklin dime! Are you certain it wasn't a Roosevelt dime? Franklin had longer hair!

Nice find! My best vending machine find was a 1910 vf nickel from a coke machine about 15 years ago!

Oh yeah.

When I was in college about 13 years ago, I found out very quickly that under pop machines is a primo place to find money. Behind them is good, too.
