I have this Japanese coin that I cannot find in Numista.
It is dated to 1870 (year 3 Meiji) and is a 1 yen coin 'large type'.
Weight is 26.41g
Diameter is 39.8mm

thanks @gxseries
That is what I was thinking as well, but what do you mean about wrong type?

I don't even think it is silver - as it failed the 'tissue' test I did on it yesterday.

Additional information for future Numista searches ...

If the countermark signifies intended use in a different place, Numista lists it under the other place, and not under the country of the host coin.

1870 yen is struck with the sun ray on the reverse, not this wreath.

Details look wrong too

Yeah well the image the seller was a bit small to see any decent details on it. My images are MUCH better than that of the sellers.
And yes, I see now that the reverse is wrong on this piece. I usually search Numista first, I think that I didn't this time. I se all the design elements for the 1870 coins that didn't match the one I got Like I said, I searched Numista AFTER the fact. Lesson learned there.
