1972 Eisenhower Dollar - For Grading

fortcollins Pillar of the Community United States 3625 Posts	Posted 04/17/2025 3:45 pm This is another coin from the cigar box of modern coins in an estate sale. This is a 1972 Eisenhower dollar, a generic business strike with toning typical of maybe 1/3 of these coins, probably from being in a wooden cigar box for almost 50 years. Toning isn't my thing, so I sure welcome all comments on that aspect, too. Again, I'm not familiar with varieties for the Ike. All thoughts and comments welcomed! Getting a feel for the grades on a couple of these coins will help me figure out what I need to do with this whole group of coins. Here are the obverse and reverse photos. Thanks! Most are heavily bagmarked or chattered in the fields. As stated yours has the type 3 reverse. Here is the PCGS photograde link for the Ikes.
