We do (or did) have a member named Thump1, and they posted a thread about a damaged 1964 half dollar here:
https://goccf.com/t/457155 Thump1 was automatically locked out of the forum when they tried to post a swearword-filled rant deriding the answers they were getting about their "errors" and promising to make everyone apologize once they were proven right, so there's no way to contact them now, and frankly they sound like the kind of angry, stubborn person you don't really want to get to know better.
The marks on your coin are
Reed Marks, caused by another coin hitting or squeezing onto your coin at an angle. It is not considered an error, as
Reed Marks can happen outside of the mint. Large heavy coins like half dollars are more likely to give each other
Reed Marks than smaller coins, because a larger coin has more mass and inertia and so tends to do more damage.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
