Found in a machine-wrapped coin roll from my local bank, a 2025 D Nickel, to my surprise. Still searching for any 2024 nickels. And I'm located within a couple miles from the Philly Mint.

Final mintage for 2024 was just under 37 million for Philly and less than 33 million for Denver. 2025 nickel mintage is already above 100 million for both mints.

That's amazing! I grew up in central NJ and always had troubles finding D coins.

Halfamind,, I had seen and posted this past February that the final total from Philly stated in Coin News was 79.9 million. Denver stayed in the 30s.

I have also found 2025 coins to be more easily found than 2024. I suppose the mintage difference is the reason. Why such a large disparity for the reported 2024-P mintage numbers?

@brand — good question. I pulled my 2024 mintage numbers from: https://www.usmint.gov/about/produc...s-production

Brandmeister, evidently the Phila mint had a burst of production late in the year, At the end of the same Coin News story is a list of December output in all categories, with P nickels adding 21.6 million.

FYI, it is probably easier to use [WIN][SHIFT][S] to capture those images than it is to take photo of your screen.
