Any thoughts on this strike through on the date I feel like I have seen it somewhere.

Is that line raised or incuse? Not sure it is a strike through. Looks more like a plating issue to me.

It's a Linear Plating Bubble, not a Struck Through. A Struck Through would be incused, not raised.

what is the term for such coins if not strike through and are worth keeping

E&V already stated the terminology is: "Linear Plating Bubble" and not worth keeping unless you think it's cool but no premium to the value - just 1¢

Agree--linear plating bubble, Not too uncommon in zinc core memorial cents.
