In searching through coins obtained from a bank bag of coins we uncovered this coin that has a 1971 Lincoln Cent obverse and a Roosevelt dime reverse. The Roosevelt dime appears to be embedded inside the Lincoln Cent as the outside rim is from the copper cent. The ridges of the dime's rim can be seen inside the copper rim. Could this be created by a minting error or is this someone's elaborate concoction? Thanks for looking and responding.

Yes - commonly referred to as a Magician's coin.

In this case, more like a bad Magician's coin, no? It's usually a little more seamless than this.

Appears to be a Magician's coin. PMD. Still a cool find though.

Nice lathe work to make the dime fit into the Lincoln Cent.
