Variety Vista has listings for BAR Nickels. There are some listed for 1963 D. I tried to paste the link but couldn't get it to work in this post.

lawest , thanks , yes VaietyVista has them as BAR nickels but " Cuds on Coins" has them as Cuds , I've like 12 different 1960d that I'll be posting as I send them to JC in COC .

I'm not an expert on Cuds, but these are die chips. A Cud is when the die chips off at the rim. These don't involve the rim They stop short of going out to the rim. They are known rightly as BAR nickels. Flame on J.C.
