So not my coin but always try to find hidden gems. I know little of these just started looking in to them yesterday and I find them to be great looking coins

I have figured out that it is type 1 obverse with type 2 reverse.
Does the face look ok looks little different from others I see but might be wear?

Its already on 1000 sīdollars but I learn these are semiscarce.

well it went for 2300 dollar, lets hope it was cleaned or fake since I didnt bid on it

Not an expert on these but it looks like a genuine Trade dollar.

Looks like a genuine type I/II to me, but raw Trade dollars are always a risk, and $2300 isn't exactly a bargain.

The example appears to be genuine as the date position and CC position match a known die pair. There is a die patch behind liberty's neck that is on the OP example. The denticles and stars are spot on, and there are a couple of die cracks on the reverse that appear to match the die pair, but the lines for the die cracks are faint. From the photos the OP example has original skin without a cleaning.

Yes, this matches die pair #7.1.

Note, there is what looks to be rampant surface corrosion. Could be or similar to salt water damage.
