Do you think this would grade AG details? It's pretty beat up.

I think there's enough left to get it to G-04 or G-06, but definitely a details coin.

Thank you, Hondo Boguss. This coin has had a rough life and has been through a lot. It's scratched and slightly bent too.

It might have spent some time long ago in a stagecoach parking lot.

Where'd ya get it from E&V? It's got enough detail left on it for possibly a VG08 - it's just in rough condition damage wise,

Marve65, I can't remember where I got it from, but I think I got it for free. I don't recall paying any money for it.

I agree with it being a G-06/VG-08 details coin. Half Dimes sure had to fend off the bigger and heavier coin purse bullies, and this one's a survivor.

Coins like this are great educational pieces. It's fun to hand people a Half Cent, large cent, Two Cent, Three Cent, and Half Dime, and ask them to figure out how many different ways they could make change for a dime in that era.

PCGS would probably slab it with a G (details) 98 code (damaged)
