FYI I have a warning about an auction house "KeyDateCoins " they put grades on coins that are in some cases 4-5 grades higher then they really are. Most of the time they are within one grade if you send the coin in it will come back a lower grade most of the time!!! they now have a disclaimer that they will not refund your $ if you send a coin into a grading company, and if it comes back a lower grade. I bought a Black eagle 1$ 1899 note was supposed to be XF 45 got it in and the best it could have been was VF35 I sent it back & it took months, to only get back 245.00 of 573.00 and had to use that to pay for another auction, they still owe me 118.55 can't get them to even apply the balance towards another auction. no answers from e-mails or phone calls or txts ... And there "covered end rolls are a fraud the paper ends are new so the rolls are assembled when you buy them and are not part of some Hord that was rolled 40+ years ago like they claim. This auction house is wrought with fraud STAY AWAY!

Even back in 2006, there was a discussion here about them:

Caveat emptor.

The only grades universally recognized in North America are NGC, PCGS and ANACS (as far as I know). Any other grade assigned by anyone must be taken with a grain of salt. If you are buying coins, this is critical to understand, or you are vulnerable.

Had a similar experience. I had a successful return and steered quite clear thereafter.
