Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and to error coin collecting. Could someone help me identify what kind of error this is? I can't find anything that looks like it in my books.

To CCF! Are you able to get full obverse and reverse images. I'm thinking PMD, but would like to see full pictures before coming to that conclusion.

to the CCF

The close up is good but a full picture of both sides is
required to give us a better perception of what is going on.

Hey, Here is the whole coin. I'm technology challenged, took a bit to figure out how to get it under 300kb.

Nice pictures, now we can get a better perspective.
Looks like it has taken some sort of a hit that has folded over
the clad layer. I can't see how that could happen during the
striking of the coin. The rim would be intact if it was. PMD

It's pre-strike planchet damage. A close relative of a struck-in rim burr.

Mike Diamond has spoken. I'm glad I was wrong. Congratulations on the find.

Thanks for the help everyone!! I spent the winter researching coin errors but I hadn't seen anything I could match that one with.
