I was trying to learn the difference between a Proof and a Reverse Proof. Google said "A reverse-proof coin has a unique finish where the background is frosted and the design elements are mirror-like, which is the opposite of a standard proof coin." Then on the USMint.gov site I see an American Innovation 2019 $1 Reverse Proof Coin - Delaware that looks just like the one I found from the bank a couple days ago.
So, I'm guessing it is NOT a Reverse coin because it appears only S minted coins are reverse, and since the one I have is a P, it's not a Reverse. Correct?
I've looked at both the S reverse proof and the P coins online and I'll be duffed if I can see any difference. Can someone post pictures of what is so different about the 2 coins, S Reverse verses P?
Thanks!!!

Correct this coin is not a reverse proof - not even a proof coin at all.
this one just happens to have a frosted looking design on it.
take a look at 2 of my American Eagle proof coins:
the first one is a normal proof, and the second one is a reverse proof.

Think of them as being positive and negative strikes.

Thanks for the side by side.

Differentiating proof and reverse proof on the Innovation dollar designs can be tricky!

The best way to determine which one you have is to look at the Statue of Liberty on the obverse.

By the way, the 2019-P in the OP is a business strike, so the terminology does not apply.
