Hey folks,
First time poster / forum user!
I found a 1960-D
Lincoln Cent (Small Date) with a really unusual raised square shape on the upper curl of the "9" in the date. It's clearly raised, not recessed, and the shape is sharp and geometric — which doesn't look like your typical random die chip.
- It's not listed in known varieties like on CopperCoins or Wexler's site
- Doesn't appear to be post-mint damage
- Looks like it may be a retained die break or a unique chip
Has anyone seen this before? I've attached close-up images under magnification.
Appreciate any insights!
