Quote: You can even just type [q] to start a quote. And then type [/q] to finish it. Yes, Bobby added that recently. But I still have [qu ote] [/qu ote] in my macros.

I definitely prefer hunting for nickels. There's always something to find, whether it be pre-49's, War Nickels, Buffalos, the occasional V nickel, or my favorite - foreign coins. I have only been searching since the start of this new year, but I'm three coins away from pulling a complete Jefferson set out of circulation. I expect that once I complete it I may start all over again. I also enjoy searching halves, but that's just for the silver.

You must be searching quite a volume of coins to be three nickels away from a complete circulation set in only nine months! =)

cents... because I know there's a 1909-S VDB out there somewhere waiting for me to find it.

@Brandmeister (I'm not sure how to quote reply). I've been searching two boxes a week for most of this year. I suspect it will be a while yet before I finish the set, two are War Nickels that refuse to show up.

Nickels first followed by the cent.

Wheat and Memorial cents. You can keep the Shield Cents - searching them drives me nuts!

Quote: You will not have any of them to worry about soon I'm sure there will always be "Unsearched" cent rolls on ebay!

I like nickels and quarters. With nickels, there is always something to find whether its just older nickels or the newer minor DDRs which I do well with. I haven't run into a Buffalo nickel in a while though. And then there's the crazy Die Deterioration and rather large unique die chips. With the quarters, I don't find much silver really but I have a blast looking for all the DDRs on the ATB Quarters. Cents as the most searched coin, I tend not to have much luck with and half dollars I haven't found a bank yet that has them unless someone turns them in.

I prefer Cents. Yes, they can be dirty, and the zinc cents are often damaged, but there is just something about hunting a box of cents that is more fun than any other denomination. I truly hope that cents become more available to CR hunters again. I have heard that as more businesses are rounding and not using cents that they are piling up in the banks. So far, I am still unable to get any but hope springs eternal...

Every time I go to my credit union for nickels, the one guy always jokingly asks me to please take as many cent rolls as I want. They still have a huge backlog in the vault from when the Fed terminal wasn't taking them.

Brandmeister, I am so jealous! I can't bribe a teller to get me any. Not even one roll.
