Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that there seems to be a great many 1996 BU coins in circulation right now. I'm finding several hundred in the fifty dollar bags I've been going through. Maybe the myth about a Wide AM has something to do with my findings.

BU is either "Butt Ugly" or "Brilliant Uncirculated"

When I go, I just ask for a $50 dollar bag at the bank. I think that they use the bags in the dumping machine, but I'm not sure.

Try a different branch of your same bank first since you already have an account (if it's not to far of a drive). Then try heading to a different bank if you aren't having luck. Try a local bank first and then a mid size and then lastly a larger bank (Chase, Wells Fargo, BoA).

Yeah when I ask for $25 box, sometimes I get the eyeroll.....huh I say you got a problem, may I speak to the manager? They always back down. But I only go to a bank I have accounts at and between my wife and I, its a good amount. I've never had to meet the manager! (tho the teller prob is thinking NO WHEATS FOR YOU)

Depending on how your bank does coin will let you know if you can get boxes or bags. The bank that I use to go to only did bags because they never had to order in new coin, everything they received was from customers. This made it nice because every one in awhile a roll of BUs was in there along with the Wheaties.

Going to a different branch wont help (besides it's 7 miles farter away. I've taken this issue up to the general manager and still didn't help! They will be my Dump bank!
