Is there a known variant of this coin which is missing the initial "k"? If not, any ideas what it is I do have? Photo to follow when I've figured out the technology. Thanks

Since you don't actually need this one identified, I've used my mini-moderator powers to move this to the main world coin section for you.

As for what you've got: I'd presume, without seeing it, that you've got either a "filled die" or a weak strike. But I'm far from an expert in the Russian series.
