Does Mint Cello Add Any Value Or Panache To Minor Mint Errors?

Brandmeister Pillar of the Community United States 6505 Posts	Posted 06/11/2025 6:10 pm I bought what appears to be a small folded lamination quarter, still in the original mint cello. It's a pain to photograph the tiny details through the cellophane. Before I cut this coin out of the original mint packaging, am I destroying any amount of value by doing so? This specific coin was inexpensive, but I wanted to pose the question in a general way, as it seems to arise occasionally on the forums. Is the value of minor mint errors on uncirculated coins enhanced by the original mint packaging? Report this Post to the Staff
