Anyone out there want to bid $11 on Lot 1 and be my "partner"? I wonder how weerdsteev is going to package up a "Red X". That is all I can see at work. I just wanted to get in on the fun. I figured if Wheezy bid on it I would probably like it as well.

Oh and there's a Bicentennial Ike too, sorry. 7 Coins in each lot. Similar in value. Depends on what you like.

I like just about any coin!!
I really think this is a great idea because it is enjoyable, a little competition and also builds camaraderie.

Wheezy - Normally, you would not be allowed to jetison a matching partner while you were in the lead with that partner, but because Starman had technically not fulfilled his requirement of saying "I bid $9.00 on LOT 1 and I match wheezydog" and because he thought we were playing with Monopoly money, our panel of experts (me) have ruled in your favor. (Starman - I'm not making fun of you! Just having fun at your expense. Feel free to jump back in at $11.01 or higher)

My favorite charity is myself, but I'll bid $20 on group 1 anyway. Now all I need is a partner...
Just out of curiosity, what happens if I bid the same amount on lot 1 & 2?

I'll bid $21.00 to get a head of snowman and wait to see if Wheezy will match.
Snowman, I believe the rules are that you may only bid on one lot a time. Guess you'll have to create a new user name and make 50 posts very quickly. Then you can "legally" match yourself unless they are tracking IP addresses. Haha. If you did all that you truly deserve to win the auction.

meckl9 - Hold on! Hold on! Snowman has NOT pulled ahead of your $11.00 bid! He has no partner at the $20.00 level! You and wheezydog are still winning at the $11.00 level. Snowman will need a willing partner at $20.00 if he is to take the lead.

ok I'm out, I'm only 15 and dont have paypal or checks or anything like that. And if I tryed to explain this to my parents they would think I am getting scammed.(which your obviously not) 10$ is a steal for those coins.

Starman - Understood. And no disrespect intended. There is a lot of good-natured kidding that goes on in this forum and that's all I was doing when I was geeking on you a few posts back. We're glad to have you as a member!

Another update:
Meckl9 and wheezydog are partnered and in the lead at $11.00 per each lot.
Snowman has bid $20.00 on Lot 1, but has no partner. He cannot move into the lead without a partner willing to bid $20.00 on Lot 2.
