It could be brass plated. Looks good to me. I posted one just the other day on CCF. Check out that thread. There's a lot of good valuable information on there. https://goccf.com/t/481345 The E of EPU appears to be a minor Grease Filled Die issue.

To CCF, Kbdesantis44! The reason why it happens is because of this. From Ken Potter.

Quote:
"It is not uncommon to find a Zinc cent that has been Brass plated instead of plated with Copper. This can happen when Zinc planchets get left behind in the plating tank and dissolve to combine with the Copper which becomes Brass. Then this solution gets plated onto the next round of Zinc planchets."

Very possible to have the "Copper" plating turn to "Brass" by advent of the addition of zinc planchets being melted into it as E&V has stated.

From the internet:

"Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, is made by melting copper and zinc together. The proportions of copper and zinc can be varied to achieve different properties and colors. A common ratio for basic brass is 67% copper and 33% zinc. You can also make brass by adding zinc to molten copper. "

That's Awesome! Hope I'll find one for my collection as well! What diagnostics should be used to verify this?
