Wow. That is a nice one. I will say MS66*, only because they are scared to give out 67's it appears. But it could easily be a 67.

I'm also on the MS64 wagon. As the post from Pacificoin said, "way too many marks". Especially around the cheeks...

the 87(P) is one of those years where the strike was sharp and bold so thats what is to be expected. so this one would be average for strike for the year. the reverse toning may bump the eye appeal a little however, if it was on the obv it would be more appealing. TPG's love this kind of toning. the lighting in the photos is washing out the surfaces so its assessing the luster on it is just a guess and it could be hiding flaws especially, from what I can see, on the cheek and neck. there is also a scratch under AMERICA assuming the luster is all there MS64. for those at MS66/7 I suggest you look at the blowups especially the areas I pointed to. the hits around the mouth and cheek are way more than acceptable even for an MS65 coin.

And here's the reveal: For the record, I had it as an MS65 when I submitted it. Thanks to everyone for the feedback, as always it is truly appreciated.

Instead of starting a new topic, I figured why not post the other 1887 Morgan from my submission here. Let me know what you all think:

UnimpossibIe, post only one coin per thread. most folks on here do not go back to older posts so you will get less responses.
nice luster on the new coin. too many marks on the obv cheek and fields. MS63. based on your photos the coin could be close to PL however without some basis of depth, I cant make that call. typically using these photos.
the best way to determine this is to place the coin on its edge on newsprint and shoot a photo straight on. you need both sides as both must show the depth to receive the designation. you need to be able to read the text at the depths below. check it first yourself and if you think its close, post it in a new thread
PL: Clear reflectivity with mirrored surfaces at a distance of two to four inches. DPL: Deep reflectivity with mirrored surfaces exceeding 4-6 inches in depth.

Thanks for the tip @panzaldi, I was trying to save time but that totally makes sense.

Lovely coin, but too many hits around the eyelids, eyebrow, nose, and chin, etc... I'll also give this one an MS64 rating, as I did to the one before in this thread. A section of the OP Morgan, pictured below.
