I'm guessing that is just from the damaged "S" die they used back then.

I will come back and look at your coin again to see what is going on but I like what I see above the 7 as a possible doubled die.  -makecents-

I cannot tell if this is doubling above the 7 or not on your coin. Go to coppercoins.com and check the following listings to see if you can find any markers. These listings have a mint mark location very similar to yours and doubling above the 7. Check 006, 017, 032, 033, 034 and 035. Good luck! CC link. https://www.coppercoins.com/index.php-makecents-

Thank you everyone! @Makecents..I checked them all and it does not have any of the markings. It the lighting that caused that effect on the #7! I wish it was! ;)

It just caught my eye because it's a common area for doubling on this date. Maybe next time. -makecents-
