I'm thinking it's light induced doubling and Die Deterioration Doubling.

That's what Die Deterioration looks like on copper plated zinc cents - especially the shield cents for some reason.

WoW! What a cool coin! I think that would be awesome to find a 2024 with true Die Doubling because from what I understand that can be traced back to Mint location and specific die sets as well. I would have said, that from what I have learned, MD for sure or as stated a shadow created from light on the D and date but I also see what looks like true hub doubling on LIBERTY due to the lines showing in the middle of the lettering. I would also say if you could get a better quality close up of the devices in question that would help ME with diagnosis. If E&V and Marve call it Die Deterioration then let it be known!

Easy to be fooled by lighting not centered on coin when looking at it.
