I'm not super familiar with this series. This is one of the few that I have that is not completely trashed.

To me, it kinda looks like an image transfer from worn dies. With that said the reverse looks better than the obverse. but the obvers has rim damage. So I don't know if a details grade is warranted.
With that said I'd say a net VG10 - or VG Details damage

I concur with th VG-10 grade. To me, the rim abrasions, commonly encountered with these tiny type coins, are minor impairments. The rims are full, making this a respectable type coin for the average collector. I'd suggest a light swabbing with Coin Care to lift the dirt from the surfaces; this, as a measure toward conservation and fostering eye-appeal as well. IMHO, considering the condition and value of this coin, there's no downside to such treatment.

tough series to grade. typically you want to key on the spines of the star the edges of the shield and buttons on the reverse which are the most challenging to grade. you want to compare your coin to an MS64 coin or better to see what you are looking for in your coin.

obviously this coin is damaged so it would not grade straight

I might have said F with PMD, but I'm far from knowledgeable about this series, too. Nice find anyway.

Midling strong doubled sided PIDT (Progressive Indirect Die Transfer) - the mushy star on the reverse and the C around the star on the obverse.
