I posted this coin on the "Error" forum. Please take a look at this 2014 Shield Penny with a major strike thru on obverse side of coin. I think this is my best find in my coin searching over the last couple of years.

Posting it on here because I am new to getting coins graded. I have had sports cards graded so I assume the process is very similar.

Coin is in very good condition so I am definitely getting it graded.

Couple of questions for the experts in this topic:
What do you think this will grade at? Is it worth it to get graded?

I'll say MS-64 at the minimum.

I suggest the question you need to answer is how much would this coin sell for. It's going to cost you $50+ to have a top tier TPG slab it.

What are your motivations to have it graded?

nickelsearcher - I saw a very similar strike thru 2020 shield penny in a book that was graded 64RD and sold for $146.50. I am hoping to get at least the same grade on this coin and sell it for at least $200 since my strike thru is more dramatic than the 2020 coin. Get a grade of 65RD and should get more value.
