These are my latest photographs; a 1914 D and a 1917 S, both graded Fine.

We own a coin shop, WS Coin, in Marysville, CA. Somebody sold them to the shop at some point during the past 29 years, but not every coin that we have for sale online has a photograph. My job is too take the photographs.

You do a lot better with pics than I do.

I still need both of those years for my collection.

I think I would like a job like that! And my dream job would be to work in a coin shop too! Tony, you are a lucky man!

Nice pictures too!

You're with WS Coins? Cool. I'm on your website frequently, although we haven't done business yet (too many coins, only one wallet ). I like your business model, locking your customers in with a membership. Pricing with the member discount isn't all that bad, either.

Like most online retailers, I'd like to see better pictures - that would go a long way towards improving your business since your customers are essentially buying sight-unseen - and with a relatively small investment in equipment you'd probably reap a big long-term reward.

The pics in this thread are excellent - clear, detailed, and accurately-colored. My own desire would be to see them larger, but I'm kinda off the charts with coin photography, so pay me no mind.

The member discount is 20%, but no membership is required to get a 25% discount during the Spring/Summer sale when business is normally slow.

My wife already owned the shop when I married her in 2005. The huge inventory made taking photographs time consuming, so the cheaper coins usually don't have photographs. If someone gets a coin and thinks it doesn't meet the grade (which I have never seen happen), there's a money back guarantee (a 30-day return policy).
