Below are four images of a 2019 San Antonio Mission Quarter. The first two are of a quarter I found which has two unique die chips. One looking like an ice cream cone. The other appears as an extra row of bricks and mortar on top of the mission bell tower.

When searching the internet I found several examples of similar looking die chips on other 2019 mission quarters (see last two pictures from internet). My question is, are identical die chips found on multiple coins, ever given a variety or designator, since they are repetitive? Like DDs or Cuds. Thanks

Nice sized Die Chips. If they're big enough, you can send pictures to JC Stevens and have it listed on Cuds On Coins. They'd be considered Interior Die Breaks if big enough.

Yes. As the die deteriorates, there are presumably periods of time where the level of die chips are stable and then all coins struck then will look the same. Perhaps more interesting is a somewhat opposite question: can you collect a series of coins with progressive levels of the same die chip?

Yes - because die chips are considered a variety because something happened to the die that causes multiple coins to be minted with the same problem. As compared to errors that are mostly "One off" ocurenses that happen to the planchets and/or during the striking process.

And what a great variety - "Ice creme cone cross" and "Bird poop roof"

Nice example!

But yes, in the future, please do not post any photos of screens.
