No idea what CAC will say, but that is a lovely example!

And a BIE to boot! I don't think CAC will give it a Gold sticker though. Dings and scratches on the obverse bust.

It's a nice looking coin for sure.

In my experience most PCGS + graded coins are likely to receive a CAC green bean.

the rev die polish lines are very prominent. this leads me to believe, based on the rest of the coin, that the rev die was polished and then the coin was struck very close to after that was done.

the bust detail is a little mushy. the color is consistent and has a lot of eye appeal. with a few less marks on the obv this coin would be a 67RD all day. I think the grade is 66 but was bumped with a + for the overall color and eye appeal.

saying that, I also think that the coin would receive a green bean. there are just to many flaws on the obv to pull a gold. it is a really nice example.

i have a roll of these and maybe one or 2 are 66RD not worth the grading fee's

Yes, because CAC does not take the + into account - just the actual MS number grade

Very nice example! Lots of character to that one with all the die cracks and die polish marks.

It's a very attractive example, love the toning and chips & cracks!

I'm assuming I'm seeing this right, there's one major hit near the temple, correct? That is what kept this coin from 67 and may prevent a bean. These are pretty common in attractive, high grades. I think it'd be a waste of money doing anything more.
