Probably a question that gets asked so many times here with people in search of "the big one". On that note - any chance this may be a prototype? I've read that the earth on reverse is a giveaway and mine looks quite different compared to my others. Photos are taken through the plastic enclosure. Anything else I should look for? Thanks

I've probably had it for 2-3 yrs, along with a few others. Can't pin this one down exactly, but most likely an online auction somewhere in the US (I live in Canada). Just curious why where purchased might be significant?

That is a normal 1971 Ike proof reverse. Cuba is incuse on the moon Earth, and no individual islands are visible.

...not meaning to be nosy ...sadly, fake Ike dollars are starting to appear on ebay, Etsy, & other sites ... was wondering if this was a recent purchase, but, as you've had it a while, unlikely that it's an Asian repro ...

... nice coin, & thanks for sharing ...
