Fairly new here and was reading this post due to the find I made 6 days ago. Apparently this is a feeder finger error from what I've been told. Surprised it stayed in circulation this long.
Can you fill us in on where you got your informaion? This area in question is incuse. Feeder Finger Damage would be raised on the coin, since the feeder finger causes incuse damage to the die.
This is an incuse (recessed) area on the coin, which means that whatever caused it was on the die or the coin blank before the coin was struck.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
