Did you weigh the coin?
Yours has appears to have a depression between the denticles and outer edge of the rim.
Here are two 1883-S coins of an equal grade as yours.

That's what I said immediately after you posted. Stating an accurate weight is data that should be shared with the original post.

26.55 grams is an acceptable weight. If you sit it side-by-side with a known genuine it should be noticeably thicker since the metal used will be less dense than .900 silver.

Well I just didnt and forgot to weigh it originally. Its no biggie. And everything I read is saying, unless it is highly worn, it should not weigh that. I have some very worn Morgan's that weigh just a little less than that. This one is not as worn as some. The ringing on the ping test sounds a bit off to me as well. Like it is not as pitched like my other ones.

This one looked bad to me from the start. Grainy look, color off due to artificial aging, rim issue.
The Chinese are getting better at their craft but they haven't figured out how to get the correct weight as of yet. Even common date coins are their target now and as silver gets higher in price even the most common Roosevelt will be a target. Every collector should have an accurate scale as part of their hobby tools.

Another good check besides weight is the diameter and thickness.

Target weight at minting was 26.73 grams, you're only .18 grams below that. In my experience, 26.55 g with this level of wear is not suspicious in and of itself. That's far from proof that it's genuine, but it's not disqualifying IMO.

Unless the diameter and thickness are off.
