Not able to see an FG. Also on the reverse seems to be a bottle image where the fg should be.

Also looks like a no post which is caused by an over polished die.
Can occur on any year Memorial cent.

JimmyD is correct, it's from over-polishing.
I think the 69-D is the only one people look for with the missing FG..
The "bottle image" you see is what they call "paranoia".

Yes, likely an over polished die issue. Paranoia....could be valid, in a strange way...

Pareidolia is a perceptual phenomenon, while Paranoia is a psychological state.
Both are equal to seeing things...

Paranoia? The mind works in misterious ways. Maybe there was something to it?

CoinForMe, I make more mistakes than not, I do not let it bother me though. If you aren't making mistakes, you aren't doing anything.

Looks like maybe a floating roof, too. The most common dates (per Google) are 1969-D, 1971-D, 1972-D. So a 1970-D would fit right in. Neat coin, thanks for sharing! =)

I was going to point out the floating too, and makecents is correct, you usually get both - from an over polishing event.

1970's and also 1969 Lincoln cents were well known for over polished dies! "Floating Roofs" and no "FG's" were common!
