I've yet to find a Buffalo nickel in a roll, but while depositing some change at my bank the other day I spotted one at the end of his tray!

I politely asked if I could buy the Buffalo nickel and two halves from his tray, he was shocked he had one and kindly let me.

Cool. Never found a Buffalo nickel in a teller's tray, have found six or seven while roll searching over many, many years.

ijn1944, it was a very strange day numismatically.

I took $160 out of the ATM, all came out right side up and upright except the last - stamped with my name - upside down and backwards with the stamp visible... WU = what's up?

Freaked me out a bit!

Nice find! It's pretty cool that you found a Buffalo nickel in a teller's tray.

Guess you haven't bought any rolls from ebay - "Buffalo Enders"
Amazing to see a Buffalo nickel anymore at a bank!
I'm not a Kennedy buff - what worth are they?

Like I said, very strange day, still kind of spooked to be honest but the brain plays tricks with coincidence!

I'd also randomly ended up with coins and bills with 1676, 1776, 1876 & 1976 dates on them, deposited $53 in change then unintentionally spent $53.98 at a store, then spent $122.04 at a second store, equaling $176.02, and found my second 1976-D die clash quarter in a row that day... should've bought a lotto ticket!

Marve65, probably face value, but I just started my Kennedy book(s). The 1990's also seem less common to see, at least for me.
