Hi I. Have a number of consecutive 2013 silver eagles with offset strike error All are uncirculated.
I can't find any mention of other instances of this error in that year in my searches . What would you guys do ? I tried to upload a photo but it's too large and my iPhone doesn't have a setting low enough to get down to 300k

To CCF! Hopefully you can get the pictures up soon. We can't really help you without pictures.

Your coin was struck with a slightly mis-aligned die.

Thank you for your reply. Is that the same as an offset strike ? Or a planchet error? Sorry if that's obvious I'm still trying to process all the terminology! :)

Oh! Also did you notice the "strike through "(I think ) in the field left of the stars? Is that a "grease" mark maybe?

Could be a slight Misaligned Die. We'll need an obverse picture to confirm. A Misaligned Die has only one side that's off set. It's different from an Off Center Strike. An Off Center Strike would have both sides off set. https://www.lincolncentforum.com/mi...ter-strikes/

This is a bullion coin, that mark could have been done at anytime during handling in circulation.

Oh maybe I forgot to mention that this coin came in a group from the mint. Uncirculated. In the tube.

You have slight Misaligned Die that is within spec. Looks like there may be a small struck through also. Neither add any numismatic value. They are a bullion coin worth the value of 1 oz. of silver.

Being that they're ASEs, they do command a little over spot due to their liquidity and reputation (although that may be slipping with all the overseas fakes out there).
