1989 LMC Penny / Die Clash (With Heavy Polishing Scratches)

Just found this 1989 LMC with die clash showing between 4th and 5th columns. Anything else which may have been there, has been very roughly polished (sanded!) out.

Must have been a pretty strong Die Clash. They polished the heck out of both dies.

That's kinda why I shared it - seemed like overkill with some 60 grit.

but what is that blocky thing you are pointing at, I see no correlation to the obverse side design elements.

Cool find! I have always liked the extreme abraded dies, it always makes me wonder how extreme the clash was.
