Was there grease on the die where the 2 in date struck or did some force just move the 2 and no other devices? What do you think happened?

Suspect grease is in-play, along with a lateral hit perhaps. Would love to see the coin in-hand.

Yes, I did check out the link. Of course, the first thing I saw was that there were only references of Washington quarters through 2020. I then started reading all the info about this interesting topic. Think I'll sit down with a cup of coffee tomorrow and read deeper. Just makes me realize that there is a LoTTTT to learn about this hobby. Thanks again.
