Small silver coins tend to look best in G4, in my opinion. That obviously would include the Mercs. To me, any silver will look good. Copper, though, is another story. An IHC in G4 looks like he's wearing a blindfold as the whole image becomes distorted from wear!

When you say you can hardly ever afford high end coins and are looking toward G4 grade coins, how much money are we talking about?

Some G4 can cost hundreds of dollars, but a 1910 P Lincoln Cent is only 75 cents and there are several Seated Liberty dimes that will run about $15.

I agree some are very expensive. I would say the most beautiful G4 coin is my 1895 o Barber dime :)

I love the mercuries, but not in G4. I would say the Walkers have a good luck even in G4 though.
