Okay, so here's the rest of the story. I had no intention of giving PCGS more business to correct their own mistake. It happened that CACG was having a special on crossovers last month, with no fee charged if a coin didn't crossover. So I sent the coin in the PCGS holder to CACG and asked them to cross it over if they felt that the coin was an 1853-O No Arrows
Half Dime (regardless of grade). And finally, I got the correct attribution with an acceptable G details grade!
It took two grading fees, but it was worth it because no buyer would just take my word for it that it was an 1853-O No Arrows. And if I left it raw for my heirs to deal with in the future, it probably would have gotten sold as a dateless coin for melt. So after multiple round trips to grading services, it finally got the right attribution with the G details grade that most everyone predicted!
