MintedNotPrinted Pillar of the Community United States 1260 Posts	Posted 09/30/2025 9:50 pm Here's another LWC with very strong DDD, two freestanding RIDB's, and some interesting die chips on the date, reverse lettering & wheat. Is the near total loss of the wheat stalk details beyond the upper chip due to deterioration, or a form of die break? Thanks for looking. ijn1944 Bedrock of the Community United States 19266 Posts	Posted 09/30/2025 9:56 pm This is a very classic '55 P wheat cent--with everything else, it also has the characteristics of a poor man's doubled die (a Die Deterioration artifact). I love '55 Ps--have a few tubes of them. The softened wheat lines reflect the particular nature of just one of the reverse dies used. Report this Post to the Staff
