This is one of those coins I did not want to see go to melt. The metal is already worth more than what I paid for it.

Is is in my opinion in a very nice mint state.

But rationally I should start considering selling it, and get one of the portuguese or brazilian coins I want and are close to being sold by weight.

How do you grade this one?
I am looking for an excuse to hang on to it

Wow, what a beauty, jecz! That is a fantastic sovereign - definitely upper mint state.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Beautiful, solid uncirculated. 63 or 64 I would think. As a common date it likely won't sell for much over melt, but it might be too pretty to let go.
