1943 Over 1942 Steel Cent?

Take a look at this 1943-S steel cent. What do you guys think is going on? It has some of the markers for a 43/42 but not quite sure if it has all of them. If not a 43/42, what else could be going on here?

I actually sold this coin raw to someone who had it slabbed with ICG, then I bought it back to maybe have it cross over to PCGS but then I realized there was something strange with the date.

it looks MD ( Machine Doubling ) to me

The fact the Mint mark shows the same type of doubling, leads me to think MD as well.

It also could be Die Deterioration Doubling.

In the future, please do not post photos of scope screens. Use the memory card or a USB cable to transfer images.
