Hi all. Not on here much these days but last week I found an IH cent while CRH, problem is even under magnification I can barely tell its an indian. Sometimes it looks like crud on it, then sometimes I think its just stain. Want to clean the coin without eating the coin- any suggestions. The date is 1907, here's a couple pics. Thanks, Mark

Can try an acetone bath. But that one looks like a lost cause...Still amazing to find an Indian cent in circulation-- 100+ year-old coin!

You could also try soaking it in xylene. I think that stuff works on copper in some cases. Obviously you don't have to worry about ruining this one since it's already pretty much destroyed!
