I don't have a CPG and PCGS as well as Variety Plus (NGC) are pretty vague with Variety attributions.
I would prefer to study these knowing what to look for instead of wasting everybody's time posting and asking...
I've looked through the listings on Mad Die Clashes and their TDC's do not always indicate if there is an FS # associated.
Some of the "Bugs Bunny" or "Vampire" examples are extreme and obvious...is there a "cutoff" for these? I mean...some of the PCGS Plate coins when zoomed in on are difficult to determine.
Examples
1952 FS-401. Seems like excessive die polishing in the area are the prerequisite and that's it?
or how about
1963 Obverse Die Clash FS-402? It's not even listed on MDC under TDC's or ADC's and NGC doesn't even list it?
Is the CPG the only option?
Ok...sorry about the rant.
I just wanna know.
Thanks!

That's a really broad question. If you are trying to determine what clash varieties PCGS will attribute, then plate coins are the way to go. Doubled dies and RPMs are best evaluated by Wexler and Variety Vista. MAD Die Clashes has great examples, but it isn't encyclopedic. Obverse and reverse design varieties can probably be found on Variety Vista.

You're right. I should been more specific.
I think I'm cool w/RPM'S along with DDO's and DDR's.

Clashes are the thing I'm having a tuff time with.
I tried going to the Franklin lover site...but my computer would not let me access it because it said it wasn't secure.

Clashes like the Bugs seem obscure in some of the plate coins. Some look like fangs while others look like a little snaggle tooth.
I just wanna know to what extent is considered Bugs?
And, I have a real hard time trying to figure out the Obv die clash...they just don't seem obvious to me without a description?
I get on a tangent and get frustrated when I try and can't figure it out on my own.

Well, another thing you can examine is auction site photos. Great Collections has drop downs on the left side for most major Franklin varieties. With a free account, you can view their excellent quality photos for previous auctions.
