Whats not often mentioned is that even in the supposed "dips" lately silver is staying about $50, or now above $51. So even after a supposed "crash" the white metal is still keeping most of its value and leaves some pretty good bargains out there.
So whats this telling us ?
I think it indicates a strong Industrial demand and consumer interest that just wont Lag. The trading world see's the importance of the metal in future technology. The American Govt. see's it as a critical metal. While theres still much left to be mined its not easy to get to and remains mostly a by product of other mining.
And production is slowing in many country's despite the prices and $50+ silver is not much of a dip nor would I call it cheap as we wait for the next rocket. Who knows how high that will go ? $60 silver by the end of the year is possible. The GSR is now at 78, down from a high of 105 last April. Thats quite a plummet.
America's Military/Industrial/Complex uses a huge chunk of silver and our military production is matched by the combined rest of the world. Nothing moves energy, stores energy, creates energy like silver does and so far nothing is as good at a better price. I think its this Industrial demand thats propping the price above $50 come what may.
Much depends on the future of EV's. If EV's can be launched with success using the new solid state battery tech, at affordable prices, then $50 silver will be remembered as cheap. So far this has been unproven and there are other Bear'ish concerns. It will be a wild ride but I'm still Bullish on the metal.

Rumored that Russia and China are strong buyers along with gold to get out of US Treasuries. If the debt keeps going higher, you can't help but being bullish..

Last Thursday 750 million paper ounces dropped on the market. Friday, 800 million paper ounces dropped on the market. Silver still fighting to stay above $50. Bankers are pulling their hair out. Looks like $50 might be the new bottom with a couple small pull backs below that.

it's fun watching the cockroaches scurry. I'm preparing for a silver purchase, doesn't really matter to me if silver is over or under $50. swapping junk base metal & junk paper dollars for PMs is a good trade. they can dump all the junk paper that they want to onto the markets, that's obviously what they're gonna do anyway.

They dropped some serious amounts of paper last week with very little results. The demand for physical around the world is exploding. This will most likely take down some of the biggest banks.

Sadly, not so stubborn after all, as silver is now at $49.

It is holding up extremely well considering all the paper silver being dropped on the market to drive the price down.
