Not sure what to make of these rim indentations. Are these perhaps a collar clash? The marks are shallow, but they do appear to line up with the reed indentations.

Looks like a collar clash. Unusual to see on a proof coin.
Where was the quality comtrol?

Definitely a Collar Clash. You don't see these on Proof coins too often.

Thanks, guys. I tried a photo with a white background to capture the reeds and the clash. I would say that the clash looks better, but the reeds still aren't very visible. I will need to play with the lighting more tonight.

I spotted something on the full obverse shot, a little scratch or anomaly through WE. Turns out that it's a small lamination seam.

Will pull the coin out of the acetone in a bit, and see if we are making progress.
