*** Edited by Staff to Add Year and/or Mintmark and/or Denomination to Title. It's essential to have it in the title. ***

Came across a 2010 Hot Springs Quarter, would like to know if anyone has seen this before. Both obverse and reverse have a shiny but pitted look with a die bulge in line with each other, front and back. Is this a true Error?

Also came across another Quarter, both obverse and reverse shiny but pitted look, the date is hard to identify, looks like possible 1983. Smooth edge no reeding. Any assistance will be great.

to CCF.

Your first 2 images of the 2010 looks like it was heated to an extreme level causing the cladding to bubble up.
The Second 2 images look to be from (looks like) a 1993 quarter that was dipped into an acid bath.

In the future, only ONE coin per topic please.

To CCF! with Dearborn. Both coins were damaged post mint and aren't error coins. All PMD. Both are worth 25 cents each.

Agree with the other two posters. The blisters are a result of heat and the surfaces are likely from acid.
