I'd pass - if the obverse toning looks that bad in the glamour shot then it can't look too good in hand.

There are plenty of attractive AU-BU 1925 Peace dollars available at a far lower cost.
Coin shown would be far more tempting to overspend if the obverse matched the reverse.
Your opinion may vary ~

This coins toning is not attractive. Looks like you passed on this one as well.

That 1925 Peace dollar topped out at a bit under $300 after many late bids. Many would think "No Big Deal" about it, toning freaks love it and set the prices. If you don't want to pay that, someone else will very happily. It's pure Bag toning at its apex; very normally the reverse would not have the same toning as seen on the obverse, if the obverse faced the bag (reverse that otherwise if it isn't the obverse facing)

When contemplating a toned coin I'm a bit cautious of what might be lurking under heavier shades such as this one. Which is why I'd agree with NumisEd. Since it would certainly look different in hand my assesment on the value would change accordingly. As for this one, I'd also prefer the revese to be closer in tone to the obverse.
