Am I just having a "gutter mind moment" or has anyone else wondered just what the mail carriers are thinking as they deliver these non discript little brown boxes from the 'Fulfillment Center'.

Well, putting myself in their shoes, I'd certainly choose the gutter over the other paths.

That said, they have to know there are plenty of other possibilities for shipments which the seller might want to keep somewhat confidential. Publishers Clearing House and the like use the same term.

Ive often thought this aswell. I mean they could be delivering something worth a million dollars and they wouldn't know it. Its funny, the variety of different things that they carry, but they have no idea what it is.

IF, for some reason, you don't think they basically know what is in those unmarked packages, your mistaken. For example I've had Fed-X and USMail people hand me those boxes and say things like here are your coins. Or I see you get things from that place too. Or one said do you collect the proofs or uncirc sets. Remember when you handle the same things at the same time all the time you start getting to know what many of them are. Many postal workers know about your SS checks, retirement checks, workman's comp checks, bills from different places, etc. And don't forget the magazines. Just imagine the coin, gun, hunting, etc magazines being sent in the mail. Those postal workers know more about your household items than you think.

True! I have mailed in upc codes from cereal boxes and other grocery items and received my package from the "fulfillment center"

Very true with regard to mailmen knowing what is in boxes. With a rather dull job like delivering brown cubes all day, one must have their mind wander and collect empirical data relating to the sound and feel of certain items within a box.
