I'm looking for a cheap scale that will help me determine the difference in my 1982 Lincolns, among other things.

For $9 shipped, how does this look:

Thoughts?

I'm also thinking this one:

to go out to 0.01g

Out of the two you listed, I would go with the second.

WOW those are cheap prices! I picked this one up at Harbor Freight last year and have been very happy with it. I think it was on sale for $15 at the time.

I went with the 2nd one. I figured for $10 I'd give it a shot.

Thanks for the input.

I have this scale also; don't know if it was the same seller. Absolutely no complaints, and I recommend it highly.

If for just the 82 Lincolns, you would be better off with the popsicle method. You just take a pencil, balance a popsicle stick across it, spot of glue to hold it in place. Place a post 82 at the far end of the stick. Any 82 placed on the other end will either make the stick balance or fall. If it falls, it is the Copper one. If it balances, it is the Clad one.
And you save on a scale you may never use for anything else. AND you get to eat either a popsicle or ice creame bar.

A scale is a good investment. Besides weighing your '82 cents it can be used if you suspect a fraudulent coin, or weighing your scrap gold before you take it to sell!
